Peter upgraded his camera so the D200 has been sitting all forlorn and unloved on his desk for a while – I have claimed it for my own along with as many spare batteries as can be scrounged up from the office. Had quite a productive aftenoon, some of my favourites below, the rest can be seen on my flickr page here
These are pinhole photographs of a violin and its interior. More instrument interiors in this series to follow soon.
I have been asked to design a new crochet pattern for a crochet-a-long being held by members of the “Swap on a Budget” group on Ravelry.
As it happens I got really into it and came up with two patterns which can be made as stand alone items or a set. The patterns can be downloaded for free from my Ravelry store.
The CAL will officially begin 1 February, which is also the day of sign ups for this groups swap. It will be spread out with the pattern instructions being sent out on 1 February, 8 February, and the last set of instructions on 15 February (when sign ups close)!
Hey folks, I’ve been knitting again working with some really pretty Japanese yarn, Yuzen by Noro. Fibre content is 56% wool, 34% silk and 10% kid mohair, its quite a textured yarn but still soft enough to not be scratchy. Lovely stuff to work with. It has long random colour changes resulting in blended stripes when knitted up. My pattern is available from Ravelry, just click on the picture to view the pattern listing.
Been attempting some digital pinhole photography in bright sunlight. This required using ISO 100 and some relatively fast exposure times (for me anyway) of just a few seconds.
Fortunately the kids move like lightening so you still get that delightful motion blur and ghostly transparent quality. heres a few samples, the full set can be viewed here.
Just took delivery of a Holga HPL-N pinhole lens, have been taking lots of new photographs all morning. Love digital pinhole so much!
A few pics for you, the rest can be viewed on my flickr
